Creating and sharing beautiful pictures of nature is my passion.
Trudy lives in Colorado and is a certified botanical artist receiving her certificate from the Denver Botanical Gardens.
She is currently showing her work in galleries and venues, is internationally collected, and has won several awards for her work in exhibits and juried shows.
Trudy’s love of life shines through in her poppies, sunflowers, and daisies as well as Colorado and European scenes. Her masterful use of color creates a dance between lights and shadows, and beckons the viewer to follow the movement in her paintings.
She weaves the precision she learned from her botanical art training and classical Old Master painting techniques with her relaxed expressive style. She uses oil, watercolor, graphite and pastels to capture her favorite subjects. These include: landscapes, flowers, people, and travel scenes from around the world.
She has a Ph.D from the University of Denver and has studied at Eastern Michigan University, Wayne State University, Colorado State University and with many artists who are successful in the international market.
Trudy brings joy to her paintings and hopes that viewers can share this joy and carry it into their own lives.
